Four years old. Fifteen years deep.
MKC Exteriors is a Portland Metro exterior contractor. The company name is new. The hands are not.
We started MKC to do the parts other crews skip.
Every one of us had spent years opening walls that had been closed badly: barriers lapped the wrong way, windows set with no pan, sheathing left soft under new siding. The work was cosmetically fine and structurally doomed.
- 15+ years of field experience per team member, across siding, waterproofing, fenestration and decks.
- Four exterior trades handled in-house, so transitions between them are somebody actual responsibility.
- Portland Metro focus. We build for this climate, not a national spec sheet.
Three standards we do not move on.
-
Nothing gets covered unseen
Framing and plywood sheathing are inspected with the wall open. If something is unsound you get told and shown before it disappears behind new material.
-
The barrier is the building
An extensive waterproofing system goes on every job: drainable wrap, correct laps, taped penetrations, flashed openings.
-
One crew owns the result
Siding, windows and doors, decks and paint run under one scope. No handoffs, and no two trades pointing at each other when water shows up inside.
Work with a crew that opens the wall first.
Tell us what the house is doing. We walk it, tell you what we find, and price the fix.
